Independent Study Information
Overview
Parents and guardians of CJUSD students can enroll their child(ren) in in-person instruction or independent study.
The independent study program is administered entirely online. Students will complete their independent work using a standards-based online program. If you want to learn more about the independent study program, parents and guardians must request a pupil-parent-educator conference with their home school site administrator.
For students with exceptional needs, the student’s individualized education program (IEP) must specifically provide for independent study before the pupil can participate.
While in independent study, if you wish to have your child return to in-person classes, you may notify your home school site administrator, and arrangements will be made to have your child return to in-person instruction
